Senior Electrical Engineer

Cambridge | £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services consultancy in Cambridge.

The business has recently secured several exciting commercial fit-out projects, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of projects and play a key role within a growing team.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the electrical design and delivery of projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading electrical design from concept through to completion.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Designing electrical services including power, lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinating designs with clients, contractors and other consultants.
• Attending client meetings and site visits.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the wider team.
• Managing project deliverables, deadlines and technical quality.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong building services consultancy background.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous UK building services experience is essential.
• Strong commercial or similar project experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of electrical building services.
• Experience leading projects or electrical packages.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with relevant design software, ideally including Revit/BIM.
• A desire to progress and take on greater responsibility.
• Existing eligibility to work in the UK - this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
