About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Junior Paraplanner to join a small, established Independent Financial Advice firm based in central, London.
Working as part of an existing team, you will work closely with our Senior Paraplanners and Financial Advisers, providing high-quality research, technical and administrative support across an established client bank.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and play an important part in delivering a high-quality service to clients. Full training will be provided to ensure you understand our processes, advice proposition and the ongoing requirements of our clients.
About youWe are looking for someone with relevant experience in financial services who is organised, technically capable and takes real pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Essential experience and qualifications:
- A minimum of three R0 exams passed, with progression towards the DipPFS
- Previous experience supporting a number of Independent Financial Advisers
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions and investments
- High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience preparing Suitability Reports, completing applications and compiling compliant client files
- Experience using investment platforms and liaising with pension and investment providers
- Degree-level education

- Submit and follow up authority letters to obtain client plan information
- Liaise with pension and investment providers to obtain accurate and up-to-date information
- Prepare accurate Data Capture Forms (DCFs)
- Produce client-facing presentations using PowerPoint and Excel for advisers to use during client meetings
Working within the firm's established advice process, you will help ensure that pension and investment business is processed efficiently and in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all client documentation is accurate, complete and up to date
- Maintaining accurate and current client information within the CRM
- Completing and submitting applications
- Preparing detailed and compliant Suitability Reports
- Compiling and maintaining complete client files
- Checking that all aspects of the advice process have been completed accurately and satisfactorily
- Maintain your professional development through CPD, seminars and professional examinations
- Prepare and submit adviser files for review by external file reviewers
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and the wider business
