Mechanical Project Manager - Job Overview
A specialist Mechanical Contractor based in Essex, with over 60 years of industry experience is looking for an additional Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding Projects Division.

The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initial inception through to final handover, taking full ownership of the project lifecycle. This will include conducting site visits and surveys, overseeing design and estimating, preparing quotations, negotiating and purchasing materials, supervising labour, coordinating commissioning, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a range of large-scale mechanical projects, including:

  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Chillers
  • VRV and VRF systems
  • Boilers
  • Ventilation systems


Projects will consist of a combination of fit-out works and live asset replacement projects, the projects will be delivered specifically across commercial properties such as; Schools, Colleges, Universities & Offices, the project values will range from approximately £50,000 to £5 million.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical contracting background, proven experience managing projects from conception through to completion, and a solid understanding of delivering complex mechanical services within healthcare environments.

Mechanical Project Manager - Salary & Benefits

Mechanical Project Manager - Job Requirements

  • Proven experience managing the delivery of mechanical projects involving AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, ductwork, boilers, and chillers, including fit-outs, replacements, upgrades, and refurbishments.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing mechanical project delivery from inception through to completion.
  • Computer literate, with strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Based in London or the surrounding areas, with a willingness to travel across the South of England to deliver projects across various regions.
