Microsoft Copilot Solutions Engineer - Contract - London

6 months | £550-£600 per day | Inside IR35 | London | 3 days onsite

We're looking for a Microsoft Copilot Solutions Engineer to support a leading global Financial Services firm as it identifies, designs and delivers AI-powered solutions across the business.

Reporting to the Global Head of AI, you'll act as an internal consultant, working with business and technology stakeholders to turn AI opportunities into practical, secure and scalable solutions.

This is a hands-on delivery role, rather than an adoption or strategy position. You'll be expected to move from discovery and requirements through to prototyping, solution design and implementation.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with business stakeholders to identify and shape high-value Copilot and AI use cases
• Assess whether Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Agents, Microsoft Graph Connectors, Power Platform or other technologies are the right solution
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and delivery plans
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts and configure solutions where appropriate
• Assess integrations across platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and other enterprise applications
• Identify security, data governance, compliance and operational risks, including hallucination and data oversharing
• Work closely with Cloud, Security, Data, EUC, UCC and enterprise application teams to deliver solutions into production
• Develop reusable solution patterns, guardrails and standards for AI delivery
• Ensure solutions deliver measurable business value and are supportable at scale
• What we're looking for:
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Agents and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, combined with experience delivering AI-enabled or automation solutions in an enterprise environment.

You'll need strong consulting and stakeholder-management skills, alongside a good understanding of APIs, connectors, identity, permissions, data governance and enterprise integration.

A practical understanding of Generative AI and LLM concepts, including grounding, retrieval, prompt design, hallucination risks and agent orchestration is also important.

Experience with Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, Azure, Salesforce or ServiceNow would be highly desirable, as would experience within financial services or another regulated environment.

We're looking for someone who is technically autonomous, pragmatic and delivery-focused, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and recognise when AI or Copilot isn't the right solution.
