Assistant Pre Construction Manager - #2142371

Our client is a well-established and financially secure specialist design & build fit-out contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial office spaces across London.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Junior Pre-Construction Manager to join their expanding team and work closely with the Senior Pre-Construction Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking for long-term progression within a successful and supportive business.

The company delivers CAT A, CAT B and full design & build projects, typically ranging from £500k to £5m, with a strong pipeline of repeat and new business across London and the Home Counties.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in pre-construction or estimating
• Experience pricing internal fit-out packages
• Background with a fit-out contractor, main contractor or specialist subcontractor
• Experience with partitions, drylining, carpentry & joinery, flooring, M&E or FFE
• Strong organisational, communication and commercial skills
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding client budgets and developing competitive proposals
• Preparing estimates and accurate subcontractor quotations
• Pricing internal packages and negotiating with the supply chain
• Producing pitch documents covering design, cost and programme
• Attending client and design meetings and developing strong relationships
• Supporting building control and fire safety requirements
• Assisting with contract and client PM terms sign-off
• Maximising project margins and identifying commercial opportunities
• Managing the transition and handover from pre-construction to delivery
