You will an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer with around 2 years' post-graduate experience looking to join a growing consultancy.
 
You will develop beyond traditional design and gain wider exposure to clients, project delivery, technical decision-making and the commercial side of engineering consultancy.
 
You will work closely with Directors and senior engineers from day one, taking increasing ownership of your work while developing your technical and consultancy skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Support the delivery of mechanical building services designs across RIBA Stages 2-4.
·Produce mechanical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
·Contribute to multidisciplinary MEP design projects across a range of sectors.
·Assist with HVAC system design, equipment selection and technical coordination.
·Support design reviews, coordination and technical problem solving.
·Assist with project reports, specifications and tender documentation.
·Support senior engineers and Directors with client-facing project work.
·Develop an understanding of wider consultancy services, including design management, technical due diligence and construction monitoring.
·Take increasing ownership of technical deliverables and project responsibilities.
·Work collaboratively with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, project managers and clients.
 
About You
 
·Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
·Around 2 years post-graduation experience, ideally within building services or MEP consultancy.
·Technically strong with a genuine interest in mechanical building services.
·Naturally curious and keen to understand how systems and buildings work.
·A confident communicator who can engage with clients and wider project teams.
·Commercially aware and interested in the broader consultancy side of engineering.
·Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for their work.
·Keen to develop beyond pure mechanical design.
·A collaborative team player who enjoys solving problems.
