This is an expanding energy consultancy business based in London. They manage national energy grids, ensuring compliance with market rules. Operating at the heart of the energy sector, they ensure the market runs accurately and smoothly.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a qualified Finance Business Partner to join their high-calibre finance department.

Role

Reporting into the Head of FP&A, the Finance Business Partner will support in several key commercial duties covering the forecasting & budgeting, investment appraisals, financial analysis and regular contact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Partner with business units to provide financial insight, challenge, and guidance
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and in-year financial management
• Provide clear analysis to support senior leadership and operational decision-making
• Build financial models and scenarios for business cases and projects
• Oversee project accounting, cost tracking, and financial governance
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to improve business performance
• Enhance management reporting and drive finance process improvements
• Support finance systems and resolve finance-related queries across the organisation

Profile

The ideal profile for this Finance Business Partner position, should have the following:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with proven commercial finance experience built in industry
• Practical experience in business partnering and engaging with stakeholders
• Evidence of financial analysis, and dealing with business cases / investment appraisals
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Shorter notice periods would be strongly preferred!

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
