Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading London based client to recruit for a Food Category Manager.
The role:
You will be charged with the management and development of a specific range of categories to improve price, performance, and availability of your assigned categories.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist in product planning,
- Negotiating of pricing and promotional activities.
- Participate in supplier and category reviews, contributing insights on trends, seasonal demand, and product performance.
- Build relationships with your suppliers, to ensure the best product offering for customers,
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure that all KPI's are being adhered to
- Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Buyer from a food business
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes especially Excel
