SEO Executive - £28,000 to £38,000 Remote (UK based)

We are partnered with a growing specialist SEO agency that is looking to add an SEO Executive to its delivery team.

This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys the actual execution side of SEO and wants to focus on doing good work rather than being pulled into account management.

You will be working across a portfolio of client accounts, producing and optimising content, supporting technical SEO implementation, helping with link building, preparing reporting and monitoring search performance. The agency also uses AI tools heavily within its SEO workflow, particularly around content creation, research, analysis and AI search visibility.

What you will be doing

• Producing SEO content using AI tools, then editing and refining it to make sure it is accurate, useful and in the right tone

• Keyword research and on-page SEO including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and content optimisation

• Supporting technical SEO work including schema, crawl issues, site speed recommendations and Google Search Console monitoring

• Link prospecting and outreach support

• Researching topics and creating content briefs

• Pulling together reporting data, dashboards and monthly performance summaries

• Monitoring how clients are appearing across AI search results including ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews

You would not be responsible for managing clients directly. There is a dedicated Account Director handling client communication and reviewing work before it is sent out, so your focus can stay on delivery.

What they are looking for

You will ideally have around 2-3 years’ SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment.

You should already be comfortable with the fundamentals of SEO including on-page optimisation, technical SEO and content, and have experience using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush.

Strong written English is important as there is a genuine copywriting and content editing element to the role.

They are also specifically looking for someone who already uses AI tools as part of their SEO workflow, whether that is for content, keyword research, clustering, analysis or research. The important bit is that you understand how to use the tools properly and still apply your own judgement and quality control.

Experience with schema, WordPress, Shopify or basic HTML/CSS would be useful, but is not essential.

It is a small, growing specialist agency with a clear structure around delivery and client management.
