Lead the next chapter of one of the housing sector's most influential organisations.

For more than 65 years, HACT has helped housing organisations turn insight, innovation and collaboration into meaningful improvements for residents and communities. As the sector's charity, HACT occupies a unique position at the intersection of social purpose, research, technology, community investment and sector-wide collaboration.

This is a pivotal appointment for HACT. The new Chief Executive will join as the organisation develops its next five-year strategy and considers how best to build on its established products, programmes, partnerships and sector reputation. The opportunity is to bring clarity and focus to HACT's proposition, strengthen its financial resilience and ensure its innovation and intellectual property translate into sustained impact and income.

The Board is seeking an ambitious, values-led and commercially minded Chief Executive to lead the organisation through this next phase. We are looking for an accomplished leader with experience of organisational transformation, financial sustainability, partnership development and strategic leadership. You may come from housing, the charity sector, social enterprise, membership organisations, public service or a related field, but you will share HACT's commitment to improving lives and communities through collaboration, innovation and evidence-based practice.

You will be equally comfortable developing long-term strategy, building sustainable income streams, leading organisational change, engaging with trustees and partners, influencing at a national level and acting as a visible and credible ambassador for the organisation. You will bring strategic clarity and commercial discipline, while ensuring HACT remains influential, innovative and focused on delivering meaningful impact for housing providers, residents and communities.

Housing faces significant economic, social and technological change. At the same time, there is increasing demand for practical solutions that help organisations improve outcomes for residents, build organisational resilience and respond to emerging opportunities such as artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation. The next Chief Executive will build on HACT's strong reputation and track record, helping the sector navigate these changes while strengthening the organisation's financial sustainability.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of an organisation with national reach and a strong track record of turning evidence, innovation and collaboration into practical solutions for the housing sector. If you are excited by the prospect of building on a strong legacy while defining HACT's future impact, we would welcome your application.

Salary: Circa £110,000
