Site Manager £100m New Build Commercial Development

Central London | £65,000 – £70,000 + £5,000 Travel Allowance + Package | Permanent

Nadson Consulting are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to appoint an experienced Site Manager for a major £100m new-build commercial development in Central London.

This is a prestigious, high-profile scheme situated within a complex Zone 1 location, comprising the delivery of a substantial new-build shell & core commercial building. The project will incorporate major structural, envelope, façade and MEP packages, with the internal Cat A fit-out being delivered separately by a specialist fit-out contractor.

The successful Site Manager will join an experienced project leadership team and take responsibility for key elements of the construction through the main delivery phase.

The Role

• Managing significant construction packages from commencement through to completion

• Day-to-day management of subcontractors and site activities

• Driving short-term programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved

• Managing structural, envelope and/or façade-related packages

• Coordinating closely with design, MEP, commercial and planning teams

• Managing interfaces between multiple specialist subcontractors

• Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards

• Managing quality inspections, QA and construction records

• Identifying potential programme and delivery issues before they impact the works

• Reporting progress into the Senior Project Manager / Project Director

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the exceptionally high standards expected on a flagship Central London development

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager who can demonstrate:

• A strong background with a recognised Tier 1 or leading Tier 2 Main Contractor

• Experience delivering major new-build projects

• Previous involvement on projects typically valued at £50m+

• Strong knowledge of shell & core construction

• Experience managing structural, façade, envelope or major construction packages

• Excellent subcontractor management skills

• Strong understanding of programme, sequencing, quality and Health & Safety

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid

Commercial new-build experience would be particularly attractive.
