Homelessness Strategic Lead - #2146275

We are looking for an experienced Homelessness Strategic Lead to provide senior leadership across homelessness and rough sleeping services. This is a Head of Service-level position, with responsibility for service performance, financial sustainability, improvement and the delivery of effective outcomes for residents.

The Role
·Provide strategic leadership of Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Supported Accommodation services.
·Lead service performance, financial management, value for money and continuous improvement.
·Develop and deliver innovative approaches to homelessness prevention and rough sleeping.
·Lead and manage people, budgets and resources across the service.
·Work alongside other Strategic Leads covering Reporting & Assurance, Lettings & Housing Register and Temporary/Private Rented Accommodation.
·Drive service improvement and ensure effective governance and performance oversight.
·Work closely with Elected Members, senior leadership and external partners.
·Develop strong partnerships across local government, housing and the wider homelessness sector.
·Report directly to the Director of Housing Options and Homelessness.

Key Requirements
·Significant senior management experience within Homelessness and Housing Needs, operating at Head of Service or equivalent level.
·Strong knowledge of homelessness and rough sleeping services within a local authority environment.
·Experience leading large and complex housing services, including people, budgets and resources.
·Track record of improving service performance and delivering sustainable service improvement.
·Experience managing financial pressures and delivering value for money.
·Experience working with Elected Members, Directors and senior stakeholders.
·Strong understanding of partnership working across local government and the homelessness sector.
