We are looking for skilled and committed residential support workers to join our team at our children’s home in South London, with day, night and mixed-shift options available.

Our full training programme begins in early October, offering you the opportunity to develop your skills alongside your new colleagues. As part of the founding team, you will help shape the home’s culture and future from the outset. This innovative project and model offer exciting opportunities for both career progression and personal development.

About us

KPMS has been delivering services for children and young people since 2006, supporting our residents to recover from adverse childhood experiences and move towards safe, independent lives.

We believe children have a better chance of success when they have the skills, resources and support to navigate the next stages of their lives. Our children’s homes provide high-quality residential care in a nurturing, understanding and safe environment.

Candidate criteria

We are looking for people who share our core values and demonstrate them in their everyday practice:

  1. Curiosity – Do you ask questions, seek to understand and remain curious to help safeguard children and make well-informed decisions?

  2. Enthusiasm – Can you sustain the energy, focus and passion needed to ensure children and young people receive the best possible care?

  3. Responsibility – Do you take ownership of your actions, decisions and reactions?

  4. Creativity – Are you committed to finding imaginative and effective ways of working to achieve the best outcomes for children?

  5. Integrity – Do you choose the right approach, even when it is not the easiest?

In addition to demonstrating our values, candidates will have:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working directly with children and young people.

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. In some circumstances, we may consider candidates who do not hold the relevant qualification but have exceptional experience and are willing to complete it during their employment.

  • Excellent IT, literacy and numeracy skills.

Salary and benefits

Starting salary: £27,500–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability for the role.

Benefits include:

  • Increasing annual leave entitlement after two years of continuous service.

  • Investment in your learning and development.
