Main Purpose of the job: Admin Support Officer
To provide related general administrative support to the Home Ownership Service team

Admin Support Officer Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:
- Manage all correspondence within the Home Ownership Service
- To carry out routine maintenance and updating of leaseholders and Right to Buy applicants information
- Assist with the production of service charge statements and bills
- Complete work in accordance with agreed targets and timescales
- Ensure all work reflects Lewisham Council corporate objectives and values
- To maintain an effective customer care approach when carrying out duties
- To keep up to date with relevant legislations
- Participate fully and effectively in team working and contribute to a culture of continuous performance improvement
- Take responsibility for own learning and development to ensure an effective value-added contribution to the Service and Organisation’s objectives are maintained
- To assist with other duties, as required and to ensure all work reflects Lewisham Council corporate objectives and values as directed
To carry out the duties of the post with due regard to the Council’s relevant codes and procedures.
All employees are required to participate in the Council’s appraisal system and to undertake appropriate training and development identified to enhance their work.
Undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade, as may reasonably be required.
Consideration will be given to restructuring the duties of this post for a disabled postholder.
PERSON SPECIFICATION Admin Support Officer
DEPARTMENT: HOME OWNERSHIP
Knowledge Admin Support Officer
Proactively manage a variety of RTB and home ownership functions within procedural & legislative deadlines
Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of RTB / Collection / Service Charge legislation and communicate this clearly and precisely to others in writing, interview and telephone
Respond to correspondence and complaints and provide drafts for member’s enquiries (s)
Identify and record details of vulnerable residents, signpost residents for support as required
Ensure safeguarding concerns are acted on immediately and in compliance with the safeguarding procedure
Investigate complex cases, work collaboratively with other departments, partners and stakeholders to ensure multi agency responses to complex cases and carry out home / estate visits / inspections in a lone working capacity as required
Keep up to date with all relevant legislation and good practice issues relating to the role
