An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified finance professional to join a leading NHS organisation as a Head of Finance & Contracts to lead their financial strategy, commercial governance, and contractual assurance functions

• Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's financial and commercial strategy
• Provide executive-level financial advice and assurance on complex contracts, partnerships and funding arrangements
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
• Lead commercial and contractual governance frameworks across the organisation
• Support the development of business cases, bids, investment decisions and growth opportunities
• Manage financial risk, ensuring robust governance and compliance
• Develop strong relationships with NHS partners, suppliers, funding bodies and academic organisations
• Lead, develop and inspire the finance function, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance

• CCAB-qualified accountant status with substantial post-qualification experience
• Experience operating at a senior strategic finance level
• Expertise in financial planning, management accounting and financial governance
• Experience advising on complex contracts, grants, partnerships or commercial arrangements
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing financial and contractual risk
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• The ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights
