Job type: Mondays

The Successful Communication Support Worker will have the following skills and qualifications

• Level 6 BSL qualification required
• Ability to modify course materials to suit Deaf learners
• Ability to provide Deaf awareness to staff and peers to improve inclusivity
• Experience working with Deaf or hard-of-hearing learners

Day to Day responsibilities of the role

• Interpret between spoken English and British Sign Language (BSL) or other preferred communication modes
• Liaise with tutors to support inclusive teaching practices and ensure communication needs are met.
• Keep databases and records up to date
• Help learners understand instructions, tasks, and written content in class.
