Project Quantity Surveyor - #2147758

A respected independent property and construction consultancy in Central London is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their established cost management team. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will work across a varied portfolio spanning commercial, residential, education, healthcare and leisure projects, gaining exposure to both new-build and refurbishment schemes.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will manage commissions through the full project lifecycle, from early cost planning and procurement strategy through to construction delivery and final account. Working closely with clients, design teams and contractors, the Project Quantity Surveyor will be expected to provide clear commercial advice, maintain cost control and help deliver projects efficiently against programme and budget.

This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor with solid UK consultancy experience who is ready to take greater responsibility for their own projects. The environment is professional, collaborative and well suited to a Project Quantity Surveyor looking to broaden sector exposure, strengthen client relationships and continue progressing towards senior-level responsibilities.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and detailed cost reports

• Managing tender documentation, procurement and contractor analysis

• Reviewing valuations, variations and change control

• Preparing and agreeing final accounts

• Providing cost and commercial advice throughout project delivery

• Attending client, design team and site meetings

• Working across JCT and other commonly used UK contract forms

• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors

Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

• Previous UK consultancy or PQS experience

• Strong pre- and post-contract cost management knowledge

• Good understanding of JCT contracts and procurement routes

• MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership

• Confident client-facing communication and reporting skills

• Ability to manage projects with increasing independence

• Experience across commercial, residential, education, healthcare or leisure projects would be advantageous

In Return:

• £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
