Finance Business Partner

We're working with an established, national health charity that is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 12-month FTC and play a key role in connecting financial information with operational decision-making.

This is a broad partnering role for someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, getting under the skin of performance and using financial insight to help teams make better decisions.

You'll sit at the heart of the organisation, working across a range of teams and building strong relationships with budget holders and senior leaders. It's a role that combines hands-on financial management with genuine business partnering and the opportunity to influence how resources are used.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across a portfolio of teams.
• Partner with senior stakeholders and budget holders, providing challenge, insight and financial guidance.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Use financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support business cases, bids, funding proposals and strategic projects with financial analysis.
• Provide modelling and scenario analysis to support resource and investment decisions.
• Improve financial understanding across non-finance teams and promote strong financial ownership.
• Support audit, year-end and wider financial governance requirements.

You'll ideally have:

• A full accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA) or the equivalent in experience

• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to make finance accessible to non-finance colleagues.
• Experience working in a complex, multi-team environment.
• Ideally, charity/not-for-profit experience and an understanding of charity accounting.
