About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management services across a corporate environment. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, business continuity, financial performance, compliance, and exceptional workplace experiences.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for site operations, managing facilities services, supplier relationships, budgets, and stakeholder engagement while leading and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Operational Leadership

• Deliver facilities management services, ensuring resilience, consistency, and continuity of operations.
• Identify opportunities for service enhancements, process improvements, and cost optimisation.
• Act as the main operational contact for key stakeholders.
• Drive workplace experience initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and productivity.
• Oversee integrated service delivery, including facilities, hospitality, catering, and events where applicable.

Facilities & Operational Management

• Ensure all building services operate efficiently and in line with business requirements.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support workplace transformation projects and operational changes as required.
• Ensure effective management of work orders, building systems, and operational reporting.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Promote a strong health, safety, security, and environmental culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor corrective actions.
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.

Financial Management

• Manage operational budgets and forecasts.
• Track expenditure against budget and identify variances.
• Work closely with finance teams to monitor costs and accruals.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service standards.
• Produce regular financial and operational reports.

Sustainability

• Support sustainability initiatives, including energy, waste, and water reduction programmes.
• Monitor building performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate recycling and environmental improvement initiatives.
• Support sustainability reporting and compliance requirements.

People Management

• Lead, motivate, and develop facilities teams.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure resources are appropriately allocated to meet operational requirements.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage vendor performance and service delivery standards.
• Support contract management, procurement activities, and supplier reviews.
• Act as an escalation point for operational issues and service challenges.

Skills & Experience



Essential

• Previous Facilities Management experience within a corporate or commercial environment.
• Experience managing facilities teams and service providers.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements and deliver high service standards.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable

• Professional Facilities Management qualification (e.g. IWFM, CFM, SFP or equivalent).
• Experience managing multi-site operations.
• Knowledge of building management systems and sustainability practices.
• Experience supporting office moves, refurbishments, or workplace transformation projects.
