Your new role

As Behaviour Support Officer, you will support the effective implementation of the school's Behaviour Policy, ensuring students understand expectations, boundaries and consequences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the daily running of the Reflection Room.
• Supporting students whose behaviour is affecting their learning or the learning of others.
• Delivering targeted behaviour interventions and restorative conversations.
• Monitoring behaviour trends and maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinating detentions and behaviour-related sanctions.
• Working closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff and parents to improve student outcomes.
• Maintaining a visible presence around the school and reinforcing high standards at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident, authoritative and able to maintain high expectations.
• Be organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Have a good understanding of student welfare, safeguarding and behaviour support.
• Be committed to helping young people succeed both academically and personally.

Experience working in a secondary school environment would be advantageous.
