Are you technically minded and looking to start or develop your career within CCTV and electronic security?
 
Our client is looking for a Junior Service Engineer to join their established London engineering team. Whether you already have some technical experience or have recently completed a relevant college course, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while receiving structured training and support.
 
You'll initially work alongside experienced Senior Engineers, learning how to service, maintain and support CCTV, Access Control and integrated electronic security systems across a varied customer base.
 
Key responsibilities as a Junior Service Engineer:

• Assist with the servicing and maintenance of CCTV and Access Control systems
• Support experienced engineers with fault finding and resolving technical issues
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of electronic security systems where required
• Learn to use specialist diagnostic equipment
• Work across a variety of customer sites throughout London
• Develop your knowledge of IP technology, structured cabling and electronic security systems
• Follow work plans and service requirements to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard
• Maintain high standards of health & safety while working on customer sites
• Provide a professional and positive service to customers
• Develop your technical skills through hands-on experience and ongoing training

Key skills and experience required of a Junior Service Engineer:

• An interest or aptitude in technology, electronics or engineering
• Previous experience within electronic security would be beneficial but is not essential
• A relevant college qualification would be advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to technical issues
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, organised and hard-working
• Good timekeeping and the ability to follow work plans
• Good working knowledge of PCs and technology
• A positive attitude with a genuine desire to develop your career
• Professional and presentable when working with customers
• Willingness to undertake health & safety and equipment training
• Full clean driving licence
