Salary: £21,000-£26,000 basic DOE (OTE £25,000-£30,000)
 
Are you technically minded and looking to start or develop your career within CCTV and electronic security?
Our client is looking for a Junior Installation Engineer to join their established London engineering team. Whether you already have some technical experience or have recently completed a relevant college course, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while receiving structured training and support.
 
You'll work alongside experienced engineers on the installation of CCTV, Access Control and structured cabling systems, gaining exposure to the latest technology while developing your skills and working towards recognised qualifications.
 
Key responsibilities as a Junior Installation Engineer:

• Assist with the installation of CCTV and Access Control systems
• Support the installation of structured cabling on major projects
• Work alongside experienced engineers across a variety of customer sites
• Assist with the setup, testing and commissioning of electronic security systems
• Learn to use specialist diagnostic equipment
• Follow project plans and instructions to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Maintain high standards of health & safety while working on customer sites
• Develop your technical knowledge through practical experience and ongoing training
• Work closely with the wider engineering team to complete projects effectively
• Provide a professional and positive service when working on customer sites

 
Key skills and experience required of a Junior Installation Engineer:

• An interest or aptitude in technology, electronics or engineering
• Previous technical, installation or electronic security experience would be beneficial but is not essential
• A relevant college qualification would be advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, organised and hard-working
• Good timekeeping and the ability to follow team work plans
• Basic working knowledge of PCs and technology
• A positive attitude with a genuine desire to build a career within the industry
• Professional and presentable when working with customers
• Willingness to undertake health & safety and equipment training
• Full clean driving licence
