£40 – 60K Basic + Uncapped Commission (Dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Business Insurance Adviser ready to take on a leadership role?

Our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious private finance firm looking for a Business Insurance Specialist to lead advice in this area and build a brand new team from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a growing service line, working closely with the mortgage and protection advisers to deliver a complete proposition for business owners and their companies.

Responsibilities:

• Leading on business insurance advice, helping business owners protect their companies, their people and their future
• Advising across Key Person Cover, Shareholder and Partnership Protection, Relevant Life Cover, Business Loan Protection, Executive Income Protection and related areas
• Building and developing a new team, including recruitment, training, mentoring and setting standards for quality advice
• Developing the business insurance proposition and identifying opportunities within our existing client base
• Building strong relationships with accountants, solicitors and other professional introducers
• Working with our mortgage and protection teams to ensure business clients receive joined-up advice
• Ensuring all advice meets FCA and compliance requirements

Experienced required

• Proven experience advising on business insurance and protection
• Relevant qualifications desired (e.g. Cert CII or Diploma level)
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing others, or a clear ambition to step into leadership
• Confidence engaging with business owners, directors and professional connections
• A strategic mindset with the drive to build something new
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A strong understanding of the underwriting process and the insurer market

Desirables:

• Knowledge of general commercial insurance, such as Public Liability, Employers' Liability, Professional Indemnity, Commercial Property and Directors & Officers cover
• Experience of commercial lending or working alongside business finance teams
• An existing network of professional introducers
