Mandarin or Cantonese speaking Assistant Finance Manager

Location: London

Hybrid work 1 day a week in the office

Salary: up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience

The company: A leading international food manufacturer serving retailers, distributors and foodservice partners in international markets

Main duties: Be responsible for driving the day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, cash flow and controls while supporting the business performance and process improvements

The role:

- Lead and oversee the Accounts Payable function ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and payments

- Manage month-end and year-end reporting including financial and management accounts.

- Oversee cash flow, banking activities and intercompany transactions ensuring effective financial management.

- Supervise finance and accounting operations within the business providing guidance and support to the wider team.

- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis identifying opportunities, risks and areas for improved performance.

- Maintain strong financial controls, tax compliance and audit processes ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and Group policies.

- Partner with internal stakeholders and companies Head Office providing clear financial information and supporting business decisions.

- Lead and support finance projects, system implementations and process improvements to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate:

- Fluent in English and Mandarin OR Cantonese (written and spoken) essential

- Degree in Finance / Accountancy or similar

- Professionally qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) necessary

- Experience working in a finance role is needed

- Strong experience across financial accounting, reporting, controls and cash flow management

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial awareness.

- Highly organised, proactive and able to take ownership and work to deadlines.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel.

- SAP experience is desirable.

- Must have the right to work in the UK
