Structural Engineer – Central London

Location: Central London – near London Bridge

I’m currently working with a forward-thinking structural and civil engineering consultancy based near London Bridge, who are looking to add a Structural Engineer to their growing team.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on refurbishment, retrofit and complex existing structures, rather than purely repetitive new-build schemes.

The role

You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of a varied portfolio of structural projects, with a strong focus on:

• Refurbishment and retrofit
• Alterations to existing structures
• Structural assessments and investigations
• Cut-and-carve projects
• Residential and commercial developments
• Extensions and change-of-use projects
• New-build projects where appropriate
• Working closely with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants
• Taking projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery

There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved technically, take ownership of projects and develop your client-facing skills as you progress.

• Degree qualified Structural Engineer
• Consultancy experience
• Experience working on refurbishment, retrofit or existing structures
• Good understanding of structural design principles
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Someone ambitious who wants to continue developing their career
