Area Manager / Site Agent - Water Mains Laying
Location: North London
Rate: £350-£400 per day depended on experience

Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Area Manager / Site Agent to support a busy mains-laying programme across North London.

Due to increasing workloads, our client is looking to strengthen its operational management team with an experienced individual who can oversee Supervisors and multiple delivery teams.

The Role
As Area Manager / Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of mains-laying works across your area.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing Supervisors and multiple operational teams
• Overseeing water mains-laying and associated infrastructure works
• Planning and coordinating works against programme
• Managing labour, resources and subcontractors
• Monitoring site progress and resolving operational issues
• Ensuring health, safety and quality standards are maintained
• Liaising with clients and internal delivery teams
• Supporting the wider delivery of a busy programme of works

About You
Previous water mains-laying experience is preferred. However, candidates from a strong gas mains-laying background will also be considered due to the transferable nature of the works.

You should have:

• Water or gas mains-laying experience
• Site Agent, Area Manager or similar operational management experience
• Experience managing Supervisors and multiple site teams
• Strong health and safety knowledge
• Good understanding of programme and resource management
• Strong communication and leadership skills

This is a long-term contract opportunity, with further workloads expected as the programme develops.
