Senior Technical Infrastructure Engineer – Office Relocation

Central London | £650–£680 per day | Outside IR35 | 5-Month Contract

Ashdown Group are supporting a leading organisation with the appointment of a Senior Technical Infrastructure Engineer for a major London office relocation.

This is a hands-on technical engineering engagement for a contractor who can take ownership of the technical solution from design and architecture through to build, migration, testing and commissioning. This is not a Project Management role.

The Role

Reporting to the IT Operations Director, you will act as the technical authority for the new office environment, working alongside the Service Delivery and Project Management teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cisco Meraki design, configuration and deployment across switching, wireless, firewalls and SD-WAN.
• Design and implementation of LAN/Wi-Fi and comms room infrastructure, including racks, patching and structured cabling.
• Technical oversight and assurance of CCTV and access control installations.
• Migration, configuration and recommissioning of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Yealink conferencing and meeting room AV.
• Integration and deployment of Microsoft 365 room booking, Skedda and digital signage.
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting, testing and commissioning ahead of office go-live.
• Reviewing and challenging supplier technical designs and installations.
• Producing technical documentation, configuration records and operational handover documentation.

About You

We are looking for a senior infrastructure/technology contractor who is comfortable getting hands-on and owning technical delivery rather than simply managing suppliers.

You will bring strong practical experience across Cisco Meraki, networking, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless and workplace/meeting-room technologies, ideally with experience delivering an office relocation, technology migration or new-site deployment.

You'll need to be able to design it, build it, configure it, test it and make it work.
