Viva Insight Data Engineer - #2152809

We are working with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Viva Insights Specialist & Data Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a Microsoft Viva Insights data environment, ensuring high-quality, accurate and secure organisational data within a complex enterprise environment.

You will combine Viva Insights administration, data engineering, data governance and analytics, working closely with HR, People Analytics, Data Science and wider business teams.

The Role You will be responsible for managing and improving the Viva Insights data environment, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the Viva Insights data environment.
• Administering the Microsoft Viva Insights platform.
• Managing data uploads, validation and cleansing.
• Overseeing data ingestion through Microsoft 365 systems.
• Configuring organisational hierarchies and access management.
• Maintaining data fields, attributes and metadata.
• Monitoring and improving data quality.
• Designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Integrating Viva Insights with HR systems and survey platforms.
• Building and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes.
• Supporting data modelling and transformation.
• Developing data processing and analysis solutions.
• Ensuring data is secure, accessible and compliant.
• Implementing data governance and control frameworks.
• Supporting audit and compliance requirements.
• Working with Data Science teams to support advanced analytics.
• Translating business requirements into effective data solutions.
• Supporting organisational effectiveness and People Analytics programmes.
• Providing trusted data for senior leadership reporting.

About You We are looking for an experienced Viva Insights and data professional with a strong understanding of complex data environments.
You should have:

• Proven experience administering Microsoft Viva Insights.
• Experience with the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
• Strong data management and cleansing experience.
• Experience working with large and complex data environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance.
• Experience building and managing data pipelines.
• Experience integrating data across multiple systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Experience working in a complex enterprise environment.

Technical Skills You should have experience with:

• Microsoft Viva Insights.
• Microsoft 365 and Admin Centre.
• Data flows and enterprise data environments.
• Python.
• SQL, including Hive/Hue.
• Data manipulation and analysis.
• Data modelling and transformation.
• Copilot data management concepts and controls.

Desirable Experience Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

• HR or People Analytics.
• Organisational data.
• Employee survey data integration.
• Data Science environments.
• Global or matrixed organisations.
• Advanced analytics and machine learning projects.
