Global Head of Sustainability - #2152810

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sustainability leader to join a leading international professional services firm, overseeing the delivery of a global sustainability programme. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across sustainability initiatives, ensuring key workstreams are delivered effectively while supporting the firm's wider environmental and ESG objectives.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and play a pivotal role in embedding sustainability across global operations.

Role

• Lead the delivery of the firm's global sustainability programme and operational workstreams
• Manage and develop a high-performing sustainability team, overseeing workload planning and delivery priorities
• Oversee climate-related data collection, emissions reporting, transition planning and CDP submissions
• Lead sustainability audit, assurance and data governance activities
• Prepare executive-level reports, governance papers and leadership briefings
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Risk, Real Estate and Communications
• Manage external consultants, auditors and sustainability partners
• Identify operational risks, drive continuous improvement and support strategic sustainability initiatives

Candidate Requirements

• Significant experience leading sustainability programmes within a professional services, law firm, big 4 or a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting, climate disclosures and ESG frameworks
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and operational delivery
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams
• Excellent programme management, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Experience supporting sustainability assurance, audit or reporting programmes is advantageous
• Experience within a law firm or other professional services environment is beneficial
