Accounts and Business Services Senior - #2152941

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK accountancy and advisory firm, currently hiring an Accounts & Business Services Senior to join their Canary Wharf team following a recent acquisition.

This firm has been on a deliberate growth path for several years, expanding through a series of mergers and acquisitions, including the recent addition of the team you'd be joining, and building out new offices across the UK as a result. It's backed by outside investment and has climbed into the UK's Top 40 accountancy firms, while holding onto certified B Corp status and national industry awards recognising both its tax team and its record as an employer. For someone at Senior level, that combination of momentum and recognition tends to mean broader exposure and faster progression than a firm standing still.

• Preparing and reviewing client accounts, taxation and financial requirements in line with budget timelines and accounting standards
• Managing monthly and quarterly management reporting across a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses
• Handling company and personal tax compliance, including day-to-day HMRC correspondence
• Supporting clients through software implementation, training and Making Tax Digital requirements
• Getting involved in ad hoc advisory projects that go beyond standard compliance work
• Building strong, trusted relationships with clients at different stages of their business journey
• Offering guidance to junior colleagues and supporting their development

• Around 3–4 years' experience in accounts and business services, with a solid understanding of accounts processes and industry standards
• Confident, professional communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike
• The ability to work independently, escalating only genuinely complex issues
• A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of the wider context behind client decisions
