Senior Rating Surveyor / Associate – London

A leading property consultancy is looking for an experienced MRICS Rating Surveyor to join its established and growing London Rating team.

This is a key opportunity to work with a varied client base including landlords, occupiers, investors and developers, providing specialist rating advice across a broad range of commercial property.

The Role:

• Provide rating appeal and mitigation advice to clients
• Manage and develop relationships with new and existing clients
• Advise on rating assessments, CCA appeals, empty rates and completion notices
• Negotiate appeals and provide strategic rating advice
• Work alongside wider property teams to identify and develop opportunities
• Manage your own workload, clients and deadlines

About You:

• MRICS qualified with proven Rating experience
• Strong knowledge of rating legislation and case law
• Experience providing rating advice and negotiating appeals
• Valuation Tribunal experience preferred, with Upper Tribunal experience advantageous
• Strong client management, communication and negotiation skills
• Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial approach
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Rating software
