A leading Tier One Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced MEP Design Manager to join the team on a major Data Centre project in West London on a freelance basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong MEP professional to play a key role in the design coordination and delivery of a large-scale Data Centre development, working alongside the wider design and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical design packages across the project.
• Review design drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction team to resolve design issues.
• Manage design coordination, ensuring interfaces between MEP systems are effectively integrated.
• Review technical information and identify potential design clashes or buildability issues.
• Support the design development process from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning.
• Monitor design progress against project programmes and key milestones.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an MEP Design Manager role within the construction industry.
• Experience working on Data Centre or other complex MEP projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
• Experience with design coordination, technical reviews and resolving design issues.
• Ability to liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project teams.
