Senior Quantity Surveyor - #2153197

A leading independent property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work primarily across commercial fit-out projects, alongside schemes in residential, education, healthcare and leisure.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take ownership of projects from early cost planning and procurement through to delivery and final account. Working closely with clients, architects and contractors, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide clear commercial advice and maintain strong control over cost, programme and change.

This role would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong consultancy experience and a solid background in commercial fit-out. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage their own commissions, support junior team members and build trusted client relationships across a varied London project portfolio.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

• Leading cost planning and budgeting across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects

• Preparing tender documentation and managing procurement processes

• Reviewing contractor submissions and producing tender recommendations

• Managing interim valuations, variations, change control and final accounts

• Providing commercial and contractual advice throughout project delivery

• Monitoring project expenditure and reporting against agreed budgets

• Leading client, consultant and contractor meetings

• Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline

• Strong UK consultancy / PQS experience

• Previous experience delivering commercial fit-out projects

• MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership

• Good knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes

• Proven ability to manage projects with limited supervision

• Strong client-facing, reporting and commercial skills

• Experience across residential, education, healthcare or leisure projects would be advantageous

In Return:
