Opportunity for a Residential Property Associate to join a Top Tier Residential Property team at a prestigious London law firm.

The Firm

Our client is a highly regarded, full-service London law firm with an outstanding reputation across private wealth, property and private client work.

The firm acts for an impressive international client base of HNW and UHNW individuals, families, family offices, entrepreneurs and businesses, with particular strength advising on sophisticated and high-value matters.

With a deliberately lean, Partner-led structure, the firm combines the quality of work and client base associated with much larger practices with a close-knit and collaborative working environment.

The Opportunity

The firm is now looking to hire a Residential Property Associate to join its top tier ranked Residential Property team in London.

The new hire will sit within the international side of the Residential Property practice, working predominantly for two Partners alongside experienced Associates and dedicated Paralegal support.

The team acts for UHNW individuals, families and companies investing in high-end UK property, with a particular focus on prime Central London. Matters include complex freehold and leasehold transactions, typically involving new-build properties up to approximately £3 million and high-value second-hand properties ranging from £5 million to £20 million.

The practice also acts for a number of private banks, including those providing conventional and Shariah/Islamic financing over residential property.

This is a busy and fast-paced practice, offering the successful Associate significant responsibility for their own matters and direct exposure to sophisticated international clients.

This will include:

• Managing a high-volume caseload of residential property matters under Partner supervision
• Advising on acquisitions and disposals of high-value freehold and leasehold residential property
• Acting on transactions involving prime Central London and wider UK property
• Advising on residential property financing and refinancing matters
• Acting for both borrowers and private banks on property finance transactions
• Advising on conventional UK and Islamic financing structures
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
• Raising and responding to enquiries and preparing Reports on Title
• Advising on lettings, licences to assign, underlet and alter, and deeds of variation
• Liaising directly with HNW and UHNW clients, banks, agents and other professional advisers

Required

• Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2 - 4 years' PQE in Residential Property
• Strong experience handling high-value residential property transactions
• Experience advising HNW and/or UHNW clients on prime London property
• Strong technical experience across both freehold and leasehold transactions
• International client experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
