London | Base salary up to £85,000 + commission | Hybrid working

Build and grow a commercial portfolio with existing clients to get you started and an experienced broking team supporting placement.

An established London brokerage is looking for a commercial insurance professional who enjoys developing relationships and winning new clients.

New business will be the main focus. You'll take over a selection of existing accounts while developing further opportunities through networking, referrals and relationship building. You'll have autonomy over your approach, backed by the brokerage's infrastructure and access to a broad range of insurer markets.

• Develop new commercial insurance business and grow your portfolio.

• Build relationships with prospective clients, understand their businesses and advise on their insurance needs.

• Generate and manage a pipeline through networking, referrals and market relationships.

• Manage and develop the existing clients allocated to you.

• Work closely with the broking team to negotiate terms and place risks.

• Identify opportunities to retain and grow business across your accounts.

• Strong commercial insurance experience gained in broking or underwriting.

• Experience developing business relationships and identifying new opportunities.

• A clear appetite for winning clients and building a commercial portfolio.

• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and the insurer market.

• The organisation and initiative to manage your pipeline and follow opportunities through.

• A base salary of up to £85,000, depending on experience, plus commission on the business you develop.

• A selection of existing clients to manage and grow.
