Contracts Manager – Façade & Cladding Remediation

The Opportunity

We are working with an established construction contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.

The role will focus on façade and cladding remediation projects, overseeing schemes from PCSA and pre-construction through to construction and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee façade and cladding remediation projects from PCSA through to final handover
• Manage Design & Build contracts, including JCT D&B
• Lead PCSA processes, including design development, buildability, cost planning and risk management
• Coordinate clients, consultants, design teams and specialist subcontractors
• Oversee design coordination and ensure information is released in line with programme requirements
• Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and project teams
• Monitor project performance against programme, cost and quality targets
• Manage project programmes, key milestones and associated risks
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
• Ensure compliance with BSR requirements and support Gateway 2 submissions
• Work closely with commercial teams on budgets, forecasts, procurement and variations
• Lead progress meetings and maintain strong client and consultant relationships
• Identify value engineering opportunities and implement programme and risk mitigation strategies
• Report project performance and key risks to senior management

About You

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry
• Experience working on façade, cladding or remediation projects
• Strong experience managing Design & Build projects and JCT contracts
• Good knowledge of PCSA processes and transitioning projects into live construction
• Understanding of design coordination, buildability and BSR/Gateway 2 requirements
• Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• SMSTS and CSCS Black/Manager-level card
• CIOB, RICS or similar professional accreditation would be desirable
