Up to £67,000 package (dependent on experience)

We’re working with a leading facilities management organisation that is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to take senior responsibility for engineering service delivery across a number of high-profile sites in London

This is a senior, client-facing position where you’ll provide technical leadership across building services, engineering compliance, maintenance delivery and contractor performance, while also playing a key role in driving service improvement and additional works.

You’ll be the senior engineering contact across the account, working closely with operational teams, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure the sites remain safe, compliant, reliable and efficiently managed.

As Engineering Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day engineering operation across both locations, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to a consistently high standard.

You’ll combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management, taking ownership of engineering performance, compliance, escalations and improvement initiatives.

• Lead and oversee engineering and M&E service delivery across multiple sites.

• Ensure planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

• Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, taking action where standards are not being met.

• Maintain strong oversight of statutory compliance, inspections, certification and planned maintenance programmes.

• Identify engineering risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and corrective actions are implemented.

• Act as the senior engineering point of contact for key client stakeholders.

• Manage technical issues and escalations through to successful resolution.

• Attend client meetings, performance reviews and governance meetings.

• Provide technical advice around asset performance, maintenance requirements and lifecycle considerations.

• Manage specialist contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, safety and compliance standards are maintained.

• Carry out supplier performance reviews and drive accountability across the supply chain.

• Identify opportunities for additional works, improvements and engineering projects.

We’re looking for an experienced engineering or FM professional who is comfortable operating at a senior level and dealing directly with clients.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Technical Manager or similar senior FM position.

• Strong knowledge of M&E / building services and statutory compliance.

• Experience managing engineering services across multiple sites.

• Strong experience managing client relationships and technical escalations.

• Experience managing contractors, specialist suppliers and service partners.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders and drive performance.

• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
