HR Director

UK Remote | Permanent | London meetings approximately once a quarter

I’m working with a rapidly growing UK company to find an HR Director who enjoys bringing people together and building the foundations that help a business grow well.

This HR DIrector role is a broad leadership role at a time of change. You’ll lead an existing HR team while shaping a more joined-up people function across the group. There is plenty to develop, from the way roles and career paths are structured to reward, early careers and opportunities for people to move and grow within the business.

The HR Director role is for someone who can think strategically and still enjoys the hands-on side of HR. You’ll need to work closely with senior leaders, help people navigate change and turn good ideas into practical approaches that managers and employees can use.

What I’m looking for in a HR Director

• Broad, senior-level UK HR experience, including leading and developing a team
• Experience bringing structure to a growing HR function and putting practical people strategies in place
• The ability to balance long-term planning with day-to-day HR challenges
• Experience developing initiatives such as reward programmes, career pathways or internal mobility schemes
• Confidence introducing new ways of working and helping an HR team grow alongside the business
• A warm, approachable leadership style: someone who notices good work, gives credit and brings people with them
• CIPD qualified

My client is open to industry background; regulated experience would be a bonus. European HR experience would be also be advantageous, though it isn’t essential.

The HR Director role is remote within the UK, with meetings in London approximately once a quarter. The salary is still being finalised, but my client is open to speaking with people who bring different strengths and have different salary expectations. So if the role interests you, please don’t rule yourself out on that basis.
