Private Client Tax Director / Partner - technology focused

A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Director to join a high-performing and growing tax practice. The OpportunityAs a Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading client relationships, driving business development, and supporting the growth of the private client practice. You will combine technical excellence with commercial leadership, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while helping to develop both the team and the service offering.

This position offers genuine influence, visibility with senior stakeholders, and a clear route towards Partnership for an individual who demonstrates leadership, commercial acumen, and a passion for building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and owner-managed business clients.
• Deliver complex tax planning and advisory projects across personal tax, succession planning, trusts, wealth structuring, and estate planning matters.
• Act as a strategic adviser and relationship lead for key clients.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities across the private client market.
• Work closely with Partners and leadership teams on strategic growth initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior tax professionals.
• Champion innovation by leveraging technology, automation, and AI-driven solutions to enhance client service delivery.
• Contribute to the development of new service offerings and market propositions.

About You

• CTA, ACA, ACCA, STEP, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience advising private clients on complex tax matters.
• Strong track record of managing and developing senior client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in business development and winning new work.
• Commercially minded with strong leadership capabilities.
• Passion for innovation and an interest in the evolving role of technology within professional services.
• Ambition to progress towards Partnership.
