Director of Commerce Strategy

The Role

You will act as the strategic lead across a portfolio of eCommerce clients, owning relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and helping shape digital solutions from discovery through delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across client organisations, including senior leadership teams.
• Leading strategic workshops, discovery sessions, and planning activities.
• Translating business objectives and customer needs into actionable digital and commerce strategies.
• Identifying and developing account growth opportunities while supporting commercial objectives.
• Owning account performance, including client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
• Partnering closely with design, technology, and delivery teams to define solutions and priorities.
• Managing project scope, budgets, resourcing, and change requests.
• Using analytics and customer insights to inform decision-making and demonstrate business impact.
• Monitoring key eCommerce performance metrics and delivering strategic recommendations.
• Supporting and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Strong experience in eCommerce strategy, client partnership, account management, or digital consulting environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and lead strategic conversations.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, digital customer journeys, and online growth strategies.
• Knowledge of areas such as UX, CRO, SEO, analytics, APIs, and digital integrations.
• Commercially minded with experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong project and operational management capabilities.
• Interest in emerging technologies and AI-driven ways of working.
