This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Data & Analytics function within a well-established retail business. With increasing demand across the supply chain and logistics operation, they are looking to bring in an additional analyst who can turn complex data into actionable insights and help drive operational improvements across the business.

The Company

They are a recognised retail organisation with a large-scale supply chain and logistics network. Their Data & Analytics team works closely with operational stakeholders to improve performance, visibility, and decision-making across the supply chain. Due to increased demand, they are expanding the team and are looking for a contractor who can add value from day one.

The Role and Deliverables

• Analyse supply chain and logistics data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Deliver insights that improve stock visibility, stock health, product availability, and operational performance
• Partner with operational teams and key stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data-driven recommendations
• Work with large operational datasets to support ongoing analytics requirements
• Respond to a variety of ad hoc business questions and analytical requests
• Contribute to product ownership activities and help shape analytics solutions that support business objectives

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL skills with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyse complex data
• Experience working with large datasets in a commercial environment
• Ability to independently investigate data, solve problems, and communicate findings clearly
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working closely with operational or business teams
• Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or retail analytics environments
• Experience with Python and/or Databricks would be beneficial
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
