Fire Safety Assessor - London
Home based, covering London | Full time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

We're working with a fast-growing property management company that is expanding its specialist fire safety team. They're looking for a knowledgeable, self-motivated Fire Safety Assessor to cover their London residential portfolio.

This is a hands-on, home-based role. You'll carry out fire risk assessments and fire door inspections on site and see your recommendations turned into real improvements. You'll manage your own diary, with the support of an experienced team and training to keep developing your expertise.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Assessments across a London portfolio
  
  
• Inspecting fire doors in buildings over 11 metres, in line with current Building Safety Regulations
  
  
• Making sure buildings meet the latest fire safety regulations and technical standards
  
  
• Working with internal teams to plan remedial works and making sure competent contractors complete them to the right standard
  
  
• Advising on fire-related matters in Building Regulations applications
  
  
• Providing health, safety and wellbeing advice to colleagues
  
  
• Taking a practical, methodical approach to solving fire and health and safety issues
  
  

Site visits are planned by area, so travel is kept efficient.

What you'll bring

Essential:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ equivalent
  
  
• A recognised Level 4 (or above) Fire Risk Assessment qualification
  
  
• A fire door inspection qualification
  
  
• IFE or IFSM membership
  
  
• NFRAR membership
  
  
• IOSH Technical Membership, or working towards it
  
  

Desirable:

• A passive fire protection qualification
  
  
• A fire engineering qualification
  
  
• Experience in a health and safety or fire safety role
  
  

You'll be confident working independently and enjoy being part of a knowledgeable, supportive team.
