Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplined consultancy who provide a wide range of planning and architectural services to the industrial, commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors. They are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join their growing team in London.

Duties for the role of Senior Town Planner:

• Providing strategic and detailed planning advice to clients and project teams
• Undertaking planning appraisals and identifying development opportunities and constraints
• Developing and implementing planning strategies for a range of development projects
• Managing the preparation and submission of planning applications, including full, outline and hybrid applications
• Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants
• Liaising and negotiating with local planning authorities and other stakeholders
• Managing planning conditions, amendments, variations and related submissions
• Supporting and, where appropriate, leading planning appeals
• Advising on Section 106 agreements and associated planning obligations
• Preparing representations in relation to development plans and emerging planning policy
• Supporting the promotion of sites through the plan-making process

Requirements for the role of Senior Town Planner:

• Relevant RTPI Accredited degree within Town Planning or another related discipline
• Chartered or working towards RTPI membership
• Significant experience within a planning consultancy, developer, architectural practice or related environment
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management process
• Experience managing planning applications from inception through to determination
• Experience across commercial, industrial, logistics, employment or mixed-use development would be advantageous
• The ability to develop clear and commercially realistic planning strategies
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
• Confidence dealing with local planning authorities and other stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team
• A commercially minded approach and an understanding of clients' development objectives
