Interim Group Accountant - #2155285

12-Month Contract (Potential to Extend) | Home-Based with Travel to Europe

We're partnering with a PE-backed, growing SME software business to appoint an experienced Interim Group Accountant during an exciting period of transformation and growth.

Following a series of acquisitions, the Group is establishing its UK parent company, preparing for its first UK statutory audit and implementing a new finance system. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving problems, strengthening processes and ensuring high-quality financial reporting in a fast-paced international environment.

Working closely with the CFO and Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role across Group reporting, consolidation, audit readiness, systems implementation and acquisition integration.

• Support the monthly Group close, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
• Prepare and support Group consolidations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support the Sage Intacct implementation, including process development, data, reporting and transition activities.
• Support the financial integration of future acquisitions, working with regional and Group finance teams.
• Review and improve accounting processes, controls and revenue recognition across subsidiaries.
• Manage intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies across the Group.
• Work with external auditors and tax advisers, supporting the year-end audit and wider Group requirements.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for holding companies.
• Partner with the CFO, Group Financial Controller and regional teams on a range of reporting, accounting and ad hoc projects.
• Contribute to the continued development of the finance function as the business scales.

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in Group accounting, consolidation or financial reporting.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving processes and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commercial mindset.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders and international finance teams.
• The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and thrive in a changing environment.

Sage Intacct experience is advantageous, as is previous exposure to acquisitions or post-acquisition integration.
