I'm currently recruiting for an established and growing financial services organisation that is looking to strengthen its marketing and communications team with a talented PR & Social Media Executive.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years' experience in PR, communications or social media who wants a varied role covering PR, media relations, content, social and wider brand activity.

You'll work closely with the marketing team and senior stakeholders to build brand awareness, generate media coverage and create engaging content across a range of channels.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop PR opportunities to generate quality media coverage
• Write press releases, features, articles, blogs and thought leadership content
• Create and manage engaging content across social media channels
• Support the development and delivery of PR and social media campaigns
• Build relationships with journalists, media contacts and relevant external partners
• Monitor media coverage, social engagement and campaign performance
• Support senior stakeholders with media opportunities, interviews and external communications
• Work with the wider marketing team on campaigns, launches and brand initiatives
• Identify reactive PR opportunities and coordinate timely responses
• Manage community engagement and respond to social media enquiries
• Support events, partnerships and other brand activity

What we are looking for?

• 2+ years' experience within PR, communications, journalism, social media or a similar environment
• Experience planning and delivering PR campaigns
• Strong media relations skills and an ability to build relationships with journalists
• Experience managing social media channels and campaigns
• Excellent copywriting, editing and storytelling skills
• Strong organisation and project management skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines
• Creative, proactive and commercially minded
• Experience using social media management and scheduling platforms
• Financial services or regulated-sector experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential
