Opportunity for a Real Estate Finance Associate to join a top 100 law firm in London and work on sophisticated, high-value financing transactions.

The Opportunity

The firm is looking to hire a Real Estate Finance Associate to join its established London team.

The successful Associate will work closely with Partners and clients across a broad range of real estate finance transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers across the capital stack.

The work includes acquisition, investment, development and refinancing transactions, alongside more complex financing structures involving syndicated loans, senior and mezzanine facilities, back-leverage arrangements and loan-on-loan financings.

Matters span a broad range of commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate assets, including residential developments, offices, student accommodation, hospitality assets and other specialist real estate investments.

The team handles sophisticated and high-value transactions, with the quality and complexity of work comparable to that undertaken by leading City practices.

This will include:

• Advising lenders and borrowers on a broad range of real estate finance transactions
• Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documentation
• Working on acquisition, investment, development and refinancing matters
• Advising on complex and structured financing arrangements
• Working closely with Partners and clients throughout transactions
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's wider transactional practices

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3 - 5 years' PQE
• Strong Real Estate Finance experience gained at a reputable City or comparable firm
• Experience advising lenders and/or borrowers
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating finance and security documentation
• Commercially minded with strong communication and client management skills
• Comfortable taking responsibility for matters and working closely with senior lawyers and clients
