FIG M&A Analyst - leading FIG platform - Goodman Masson - #2157661

My client is a boutique investment bank with excellent FIG credentials, strong momentum and, accordingly, they are expanding their London FIG team.

Successful candidates will already be working in a FIG M&A capacity or working in FIG FDD/TS within the Big 4. You will have developed a financial modelling skillset and be building your FIG investment banking skills.

Compensation is high and this firm has a track record of consistent deal flow (and therefore high exposure to live execution work). You will work on FIG transactions across all verticals, including Fintech.

Key tasks

1. Support the execution of on-going deals, primarily sell-side and buy-side M&A
2. Support platform wide origination and working with more senior bankers to deliver strategic advice to clients

– Strategic idea generation

– Preparation of pitch book and discussion materials

– Data analysis

– Modelling (operating models, capital models, merger models, LBO, etc.)

Skills/Requirements:

1. 1-3 years of experience at an Investment Bank, Boutique M&A Advisor or robust experience within a Big 4 Corporate Finance team, with direct financial services deal experience
2. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
3. Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
4. Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
5. An excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
