Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, a well known higher education institution, in the search for a temporary Registry Assistant.


The role will be varied, combining student-facing administration with admissions support, and providing an a fantastic opportunity for an experienced higher education professional to make a meaningful impact at a crucial stage of the student journey.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact for students, staff and visitors.
  • Support the operation of a busy reception and switchboard service.
  • Assist with room bookings and the administration of teaching and rehearsal spaces.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post.
  • Support student travel schemes, locker allocations and lost property services.
  • Process invoices and administrative requests.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide excellent customer service across the organisation.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries from prospective and current students.
  • Support admissions activities from application through to enrolment.
  • Process applications and maintain accurate student records.
  • Manage admissions inbox communications.
  • Assist with the organisation and administration of auditions, enrolment and graduation events.
  • Maintain passport, visa and student data records.
  • Provide administrative support across wider Registry projects and activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar role within a the higher education sector, with knowledge of admissions, registry, or student services.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with the capability to work both independently and in a team.
