Finance Officer - #2159178

Robertson Bell is recruiting a Finance Officer on a permanent basis for an international charity. The Finance Officer will join a high-performing finance team, taking responsibility for core finance processes alongside regular donor and stakeholder engagement.

The Role

• Managing month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Processing financial transactions accurately and maintaining strong financial controls.

• Responding to donor queries and handling communications with professionalism and tact.

• Liaising with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders to resolve queries.

• Managing finance and donor databases, supporting reporting and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

• Supporting the handling and banking of cash donations when required.

The Person

• Previous finance experience, with a good understanding of general finance processes and month-end activity.

• Customer-facing or stakeholder-facing experience, with the confidence to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.

• Strong communication skills, with a professional, friendly and approachable manner.

• A calm, adaptable and reliable approach, with the ability to manage routine finance work alongside unexpected queries.

• Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to take ownership of work and deliver accurately.

• Confident using Excel and financial systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
