What the Flood Risk Engineer role entails:
- Delivering flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for a range of development and infrastructure projects.
- Executing hydrological and hydraulic modelling and interpret technical data.
- Preparing technical reports, calculations, and flood risk documentations.
- Supporting planning applications and liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.
- Contributing to innovative flood mitigation and sustainable water management solutions.
- Working collaboratively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Developing your technical expertise as a Flood Risk Engineer across varied projects.
The requirements for the Flood Risk Engineer:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling, or drainage.
- Familiarity with industry-standard flood modelling and drainage software.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing as a Flood Risk Engineer.
- A full UK driving licence
- The full right to work in the UK
